Well, let’s hope he’s going to do something for the arts in the state. I think WV is ripe for an artistic renaissance (and I think Charleston is starting on one, if the momentum keeps going) so it would be nice to see someone actually make it happen and not let projects go stagnant.

So you really think Reid-Smith made that decision? You don’t think that came down from Kay Goodwin, who’s been fighting with Ressmeyer over money for a year now?

Yes, folks – the times they are a-changin’. Ressmeyer was booted by Sec. Goodwin (Randall, naturally, had to do the actual dirty work of firing him, though). And, beginning September 25, Jacqueline Proctor – former General Manager of the Huntington Symphony – will be taking charge of the position. Let the renaissance begin!
